Darren Young, aka Fred Rosser, made history in WWE when he became the first openly gay WWE Superstar after he came out to TMZ in the Summer of 2013.

When speaking to Sportskeeda, Rosser openly discusses why he came out while still being an active competitor in WWE, how other superstars reacted to his coming out and what he thinks of Finn Balor representing the LGBTQ community as an ally on WWE television.

On why he came out as gay while in WWE, when no-one ever had before:

Well, for me, there are many reasons why I ultimately came out to the world but one of the main reasons that I came out was because I found love, and my own happiness is more important than anything, even my career.

I sacrificed my career and my childhood dream so I could inspire others to be themselves and accept themselves. WWE mega star Finn Balor won over fans across the nature when he stepped out in back of inclusivity, with members of Novel Orleans' LGBTQ community.

Balor, one of the most influential Irish people on social media with millions of people following his every move, has been praised for his entrance to the 34th annual event.

The Irish wrestler (real name Fergal Devitt) also debuted his “For Everyone” T-shirts, which feature his triangular Balor Club logo in the rainbow flag colors.

The 36-year-old first revealed the re-worked icon earlier this year, announcing that "Balor Club is for everyone".

History will indicate @FinnBalor's entrance at #WrestleMania as one of the most important moments in sports entertainment as it should.

Finn Bálor is an Irish wrestler who works for a living. He is currently under contract with WWE, where he goes by the dial name Finn Bálor and performs on the Raw mark. He is also a member of The Judgment Day.

Devitt is best established for his occasion as Prince Devitt with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). There, he won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship three times and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship six times, twice with Minoru and four times with Ryusuke Taguchi.
