Gravity falls gay characters
okay so i’ve been posting a lot about Earnestness Falls and I’m sorry but hear me out:
Gravity Falls characters and their sexuality’s. (and this is very long, sorry)
Dipper: Transsexual , Bi-curious. There are a lot of signs pointing to this, the whole episode about him searching for manliness, him organism insecure about his voice, ex.. The only reason he shows his chest (regularly-ish) is that his family is very unhurried at developing, considering Mabel hasn’t developed either. As for Bi-curious, he does seem pretty attached to Wendy and girls I guess, but he loves adventure and may possess gotten sick of girls. Of course, Mabel was the first person he told, and then Wendy. And after a prolonged breathing routine he told Grunkle Stan. He had been dressing like a boy since a very young age, and Dipper didn’t change since it was a pretty unisex name.
Mabel: Pansexual, Polyamours. cmon guys. she loves everything/everyone. Half-way into eighth-grade she noticed how much she had stopped paying attention to only boys, and started paying attention to well, a lot of kids. She even stumbled upon a GSA club waiting for Dipper and learned that what she was had labels. She even says in one of the

In a city established for its gleeful hour culture, summer can be an even better moment to take edge of post-work guzzle and eat deals. Interns are in town, summer Fridays are in entire swing, and patios and rooftops are aplenty. Here are a few prime, non-comprehensive spots for an afternoon deal with besties, colleagues, and new connections.
Alfreda. Dupont’s Alfreda, a tribute to the chef’s grandmother, applications relaxed pizza and traditional Italian eats. The happy hour runs Monday-Friday 4-6 p.m., featuring $8 spritzes and BOGO pizzas. Few complete spritzes like the Italians, and Alfreda leans in on five kinds plus one N/A spritz; our go-to is the rose and mezcal with grapefruit or the locally made Don Ciccio limoncello spritz with basil.
Lyle’s. Especially leaning into the spritz side of summer is at Lyle’s, fully embracing the fizzy ephemera of the season with the Summer of Spritz. The Dupont Circle hotel restaurant imagines cocktails from France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Spritzes feature limoncello and vinho verde. For those that smash Lyle’s every week during the spritz special—and get a literal stamp on Lyl
Gravity Falls: Dipper & Wendy Were Both Queer-Coded
Disney's Gravity Falls presented a world seemingly filled with queer characters, even though few were explicitly labeled as such. It was no surprise that fans began to read some of the Gravity Falls characters as Gay. Even 10 years after the Disney series aired, the topic is still discussed. As newer and more openly queer cartoons wind, such as The Owl House, fans are even more eager to dive into what could've been in Gravity Falls.
Two of the most heavily queer-coded characters were Dipper and Wendy. Regular viewers questioned if Dipper was trans person, due to a multitude of factors seen throughout the show. Gravity Falls also portrayed Wendy in a fashion that had many fans wondering whether she was heterosexual. As main characters, their status as members of the LGBTQ+ community would mark a significant step for visibility in animated television — especially for Disney.
Updated on September 4, 2024, by Andrea Sandoval: While Gravity Falls has been over for a while, its impact on the LGBTQ+ community continues to live on through queer generations. Queer-coded characters, while not openly or canonical Alex Hirsch, the creator of the children’s supernatural series Gravity Falls, recently spoke out about how he was prevented from including LGBT+ characters in his story during his time at Disney. Though Disney has publicly stated that they are in favor of including LGBT+ representation, there contain been very few openly homosexual or trans characters in any of Disney’s recent works. The few gay characters that are represented, such as LeFou in 2017’s Beauty and the Beast, often have very little screen time dedicated to accurately serving their identities. Hirsch’s comments on Disney’s LGBT+ representation came not drawn-out after the release of a headline-making episode of Disney’s Owl House. This episode, titled “Grom,” confirmed that one female ethics, Amity, has a crush on the female protagonist Luz. The story was praised on social media for its realistic depiction of LGBT+ kids, something that has been absent from many other Disney Channel shows.
