We’re here to assist young gay and same sex attracted men (under 26) take control of their health.
We provide information on relevant health issues, and we offer a range of specific and general services delivered by attentive people who genuinely understand the health issues affecting fresh gay and equal sex attracted men.
Our Work With New Gay Men
We jog a range of FREE peer-led events, workshops and projects for gay and same-sex attracted guys aged 18-26.
Through our work, we provide a place where young guys can meet each other and make brand-new friends in a safe, social environment. Here they can share ideas with their peers and learn more about identity, coming out, sex and sexual health, healthy relationships and more.
Young male lover men have drop rates of HIV and sexual health testing than older members of the community. Of course, this makes feeling. Only after people overcome the initial barriers to testing for the first time are they able to commit to a regular testing pattern. We help young guys to share their experiences around testing and understand why regular testing is important for all sexually active queer men.

Gay men and other men who possess sex with men
Abebe- an international trainee from Ethiopia, 24-year-old who identifies as male (he/him/they) and has been sexually active for the last five years. Abebe’s appointment is by telehealth. About three months ago, he started exploring his sexuality and has had sex with a rare male partners (if asked for more detail – 4/5 partners, both insertive and receptive anal and oral sex, infrequent condom use). Abebe is feeling confused and uncertain about his sexuality and would never have felt content exploring it further while living with his parents in Ethiopia. He is worried about anyone in his family finding out, particularly his father. Abebe has no significant medical history but has been feeling a little anxious lately. Abebe has never smoked cigarettes but has been experimenting with some recreational drugs since coming to Australia. He drinks alcohol with friends on weekends (4-5 drinks per occasion) and has tried some MDMA. These occasions are also when he started to experiment having sex with men. Damage reduction education is provided regarding drug use and linked into community organisation for ongoing support.
Clinical in Many men report that they had experiences with people of the same sex when they were young. This is often a normal part of exploring their sexuality. Men who proceed on to describe themselves as ‘same-sex attracted’ or ‘gay’ have a tough physical and emotional attraction to men that they don’t usually feel for women. There is a lot of pressure from society for young men to be heterosexual or ‘straight’. This can often cause feelings of isolation for young men who are gay and construct them scared to present their sexuality. There is no real explanation as to why some men are gay and others are not. Although there is no right or erroneous answer to the ask, a possible reason suggested by researchers is that we are born with our sexual orientation. There is no test or questionnaire you can complete that will answer this question for you. To aid in the scale up of interventions to remove these societal barriers, UNAIDS has produced a series of fact sheets on human rights in various areas, highlighting the critical demand to scale up action on rights. They are a series of short, easy to digest and accessible documents outlining the latest epidemiology, the evidence of the impact of human rights interventions, the latest targets, and international guidelines, recommendations and human rights obligations relating to each topic.
