Well folks, this is maybe the worst month of content when it comes to lesbian, bi-curious and trans characters on streaming movies and TV shows that we’ve had in a while! But there’s at least one (1) show I’m really excited about. (No Good Deed) Also this war show is gonna be on VOD, act you think Ruby Rose and Jojo T. Gibbs can be in something of this innateness without being queer? If you locate out let me know because I don’t anticipate this film being otherwise, as they state, “up my alley.”

It does seem certain that neither Hallmark nor Lifetime is going to be making us a Christmas film this year and that’s fine it would’ve been mediocre anyhow! Jonathan Bennett to Star in Hallmark’s First Gay-Themed Movie

Jonathan Bennett, optimal known for his role as Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls, says his upcoming trilogy of films,The Groomsmen, will feature the first gay-centric main storyline in a Hallmark Channel movie.

Bennett, 43, told People that he will play the character of Danny in the films, starring alongside Tyler Hynes and B.J. Britt, who have previously starred in other Hallmark Channel films. 

“Playing the character of Danny in The Groomsmen — not only are we telling a story of friendship and love, but…telling a story about a wedding,” he said in an interview at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25.

“This is the first second we’ve had a same-sex attracted wedding on Hallmark as the lead storyline,” Bennett said. “And that’s a huge move for the gay community so they can see themselves represented in these stories.”

According to Hallmark, the movie follows “the lives and sentimental relationships of three foremost friends of different backgrounds, cultures and sexual orientations…as they each find treasure and wedding blis

Not too long ago, Homosexual people who wanted to see themselves represented in holiday movies could either (a) pretend or (b) settle for a second-rate clip with a lgbtq+ character who had very few lines, ambition, or development.

Early in the contemporary queer holiday canon, 2005’s The Family Stone, which stars gay icon Sarah Jessica Parker as a (shocker) snobby New Yorker spending the holidays at her boyfriend’s family home, became a queer hit for its B-plot male lover couple with ambitions to adopt a baby. And while the film is still worth an annual watch, so much more has happened in seasonal cinema since SJP’s iconic spilled-strata scene with matriarch Diane Keaton.
